Answers to common buying questions about Electric Scooters

Electric Scooters Buying FAQs

Prioritize the actual journey: range reserve, folded weight, tire design, brakes, suspension, weather exposure, lighting, charging time and storage. A headline top speed matters less than whether the scooter can be carried, locked and ridden legally where you need it.

Rules are local. A city, campus, park or trail can apply a different speed limit or access rule from the surrounding state. Check your planned route before purchase, especially when the model's published speed is above common low-speed scooter limits.

Look beyond peak power. Pneumatic tire size, tread, suspension, brake setup, product weight and the rider's ability to manage the scooter all affect comfort and control on imperfect streets. Small wheels deserve extra caution around cracks and obstacles.

Check the lights, reflectors, brakes and tires, wear a helmet, and make sure you are visible to traffic. Ride predictably and assume drivers or pedestrians may not see a small, quiet scooter.

Use only the supplied or manufacturer-approved charger, unplug after charging as directed, and stay present. Never charge a damaged, wet or modified battery, and do not rely on a generic universal charger.
