StreetRides US Research is the in-house data function behind the buyer guides and market reports published on streetrides.us. We analyze marketplace listings and clearly distinguish seller-advertised specifications from independent product testing. We do not accept payment for inclusion in a dataset, table or ranking.
We collect product listings through the DataForSEO Amazon Products API for a stated marketplace, location and language. Results are deduplicated by ASIN. Code extracts explicit values such as mileage claims, motor wattage, battery voltage, amp-hours, watt-hours, speed and price. When a listing contains multiple values, the pipeline preserves those values and flags the record as ambiguous instead of silently treating the first number as definitive. Derived fields and statistical filters are documented in the report.
Quality-control process
- Automated tests cover multi-value ranges, peak and nominal wattage, battery calculations, sorting and schema output.
- Published tables must pass consistency checks against the generated analysis data.
- Charts, captions, article statistics and calculators read from the same analysis object.
- Material corrections receive a new last-updated date and are described in the affected report.
Limits of marketplace research
Marketplace listings can change, combine several variants, report peak rather than nominal power and contain seller errors. Search results are a sample of the marketplace, not a census of every product sold in the United States. Unless a report expressly says otherwise, StreetRides US has not physically tested the listed products. Advertised range is not the same as independently measured real-world range.
How to cite our research
Original StreetRides US prose, charts and aggregate analysis may be cited with attribution: StreetRides US Research, "[report title]," streetrides.us, [collection date]. This permission does not grant rights to third-party marketplace content, product images, trademarks or source records. Raw or row-level data is published only when redistribution rights have been confirmed and an explicit download license is displayed.
What we will not do
- We will not publish ranges, prices, or specifications that are not present in the source listing.
- We will not omit categories where our parsing coverage is below 50 percent without disclosure.
- We will not accept compensation in exchange for ranking, citation, or inclusion in a report.
- We will not quietly delete or rewrite past reports. Updates are dated and tracked.
- We will not describe seller claims as independent test results.
- We will not publish a downloadable dataset until its redistribution terms are confirmed.
