Choose the X1 when stairs, a car trunk or a small storage corner matter more than long range. Hoverfly shows a fit label from 4 feet 7 inches to 6 feet 2 inches for the current listing, and the official page positions the scooter for commuting and school or campus movement.

Think twice if you need more than a short loop, regularly ride steep hills, or carry a heavier load. A 15.5 mph claim is closer to ordinary commuter-scooter use than the X3 or X5, but local access rules still decide where it may be ridden.

Hoverfly publishes a 250W rear motor with Hall sensor, 15.5 mph top speed and automatic cruise control after steady riding. Its page also identifies EABS and rear disc braking. StreetRides has not independently measured speed, acceleration, braking distance or hill climbing.

The 8.5-inch honeycomb tires are airless and reduce puncture anxiety, while the compact format helps carrying. Keep cruise control off until you understand how acceleration and braking cancel it, and use a low-speed practice area before a busy route.

The 36V 5.2Ah battery stores about 187Wh, matching Hoverfly's product copy. The official page claims up to 10 miles and about four hours to charge. That is a short-trip ceiling, not a promise of 10 miles in cold weather, on hills, or at your maximum load.

The smaller pack makes the X1 easier to carry and store, but leaves limited reserve for detours. Charge with compatible manufacturer equipment while present in a dry, ventilated space, and check replacement-battery availability before purchase. Flat-grid commutes in Phoenix, Miami, and Chicago reach the top of that band. Hill routes in Seattle, San Francisco, and Pittsburgh land near the bottom.

Hoverfly lists EABS plus a rear disc brake, 8.5-inch honeycomb airless tires, anti-slip handlebar and deck surfaces, and a 220 lb maximum rider load. Its materials make a general UL 2272 statement, but the current page does not expose a model-specific certificate number. StreetRides does not infer one.

Inspect the stem, folding hardware, tire surfaces, brake lever, throttle return, display, lights and deck before riding. A lightweight scooter is easier to carry, not exempt from helmets, visibility and route rules.

Airless honeycomb tires remove tube inflation and puncture repair, but check the rubber for damage and wear. The compact battery, folding latch, brake pads, charger and control wiring still need regular inspection. Keep the manual, order record and serial details.

The X1 makes the most sense when the scooter has to move between rooms, trunks and short trips. At 31.55 lb, with a 187Wh calculated battery and airless tires, it is easier to live with than larger long-range models.

The price of that convenience is range and hill margin. Ten miles is a favorable maximum claim from a small battery. Pick the X1 for short routes, carrying and simple storage, not for a long daily commute that leaves no reserve.
