EKX X21 Max 8000W-Peak Electric Dirt Bike

Choose the X21 Max when you want a high-output trail bike but do not need the GTS X22's 72V system or the M1's mid-drive torque. It suits an experienced rider with ground-level storage, a truck or correctly rated carrier, and room to practice throttle and braking control away from traffic.

At roughly 106 lb, it is the lightest aluminum-frame choice in this group, but it is still too heavy for stairs, ordinary bicycle racks or frequent indoor handling. Riders near the lower end of EKX's 5 ft 5 in to 6 ft 5 in fit guidance should confirm stand-over comfort before committing.

EKX publishes 3,000W rated output, 8,000W peak output, 240 Nm of torque and up to 60 mph. Real speed changes with rider weight, battery state, terrain, tire pressure and controller settings. Begin in the lowest available mode and learn the throttle response before using more output.

A RunPlayBack ride test recorded speed in the mid-40s under its test conditions and found the throttle smooth rather than abrupt. The creator also reported that pedaling did not provide conventional pedal assist on the tested bike. The X21 Max's published speed and output sit far beyond ordinary Class 1, 2 and 3 e-bike limits. Do not assume public-road, sidewalk, bike-lane, park or shared-path access. X21 Max is the sensible center of the EKX range if 60V power, adjustable suspension and an aluminum frame solve your trail-riding job. It carries less mass than the GTS X22 and M1 while giving you more published torque than TX1.

Its compromise is simple: this is still a 106 lb, high-speed motor vehicle. The purchase only makes sense after you solve legal riding space, transport, charging and parts support. If price is the first constraint, TX1 is the leaner decision. If steep technical climbing is the job, M1's mid-drive layout is the meaningful step up.
