Velowave Grace 2.0 Step-Thru Electric Bike

Best for ground-level riders who want a step-through mount, full-size fat tires and torque-sensor response for paved routes and permitted light mixed-surface use.

It is a poor fit for regular stair carries, tight apartment storage or any buyer who needs a confirmed carton weight, replacement-battery price or independent complete-bike certification listing before committing.

Velowave's current page says 330 lb payload, but its exact manual says 385 lb maximum load. Treat the current page figure as the active claim and do not use either one to bypass an individual fit, rack or cargo check.

Velowave lists a 750W rated Bafang geared hub, a 1,000W peak claim and 80 Nm (59 lb-ft) maximum torque. Rated and peak output are not interchangeable, and StreetRides has not tested its acceleration, hills or sustained power.

The published torque sensor is intended to respond to pedal effort. Velowave also lists up to 28 mph pedal assist and a 20 mph thumb-throttle setting. Verify your state and local e-bike rules before riding, especially with throttle-equipped or higher-speed settings.

The exact 2023 manual instead lists 65+ miles by pedal and 40+ miles by throttle, with a 165 lb (75 kg) rider, level road, warm weather and other stated conditions. Use neither figure as a route guarantee. Assist, speed, cargo, grade, wind, tire pressure and temperature all matter.

The manual lists a 48V 2A charger and about 10 hours charging. A replacement-battery part number and current price were not verified, so ask before relying on the bike as your only transportation. Terrain sets your real range: flat commutes in Chicago, Dallas, and Minneapolis reach the top of the claim, while hill routes in Seattle, San Francisco, or Pittsburgh land near the bottom.

Velowave lists hydraulic disc brakes with 180 mm rotors, a front light and brake motor cut-off switches. The exact manual also calls for pre-ride checks, secure battery installation and more braking distance in wet conditions.

The manual lists IPX4 water resistance and says not to use the bike in heavy rain or immerse it. The product page calls the charger UL listed, but there is no independent listing published for the complete delivered e-bike. Do not treat a charger claim as complete-bike certification evidence.
